When to utilize the services of a NYS Licensed Mold Assessor:

  • If  your property has been affected by water damage. This could be the result of a number of things from pipe breaks, roof leaks, appliance malfunctions, flooding and so much more.

  • If there is anything visible that you suspect to be mold.

  • If you or anyone else ever experiences symptoms of unknown origin, especially while in the structure (or just in certain areas). In some cases those symptoms seem to go away when not in the structure (or in those particular areas).  Symptoms vary, click the link to learn more.

  • If there's mysterious and/or unpleasant smells and other odors. This could be a sign of hidden mold growth.

NYS DOL Article 32

New York State Department of Labor Article 32 (effective Jan. 1, 2016) states in Section 936:2-3

 - 2. No licensee shall perform both mold assessment and mold remediation on the same property.

 - 3. No person shall own an interest in both the licensee who performs mold     assessment services and the licensee who performs mold remediation     services on the same property.

This means that no one is allowed to benefit financially from both sides of the project. Select the Read More option below to learn more.

Our Services

Mold Inspections/Assessments:

One of our NYS Licensed Mold Assessors will conduct an inspection in the area(s) of concern prior to remediation. After the inspection has been completed a detailed written analysis of the findings including supporting photos, remediation protocols and lab reports (if applicable) will be provided.

**Sampling is only done if needed, in most cases sampling is not required**

Post Mold Remediation Clearance:

One of our NYS Licensed Mold Assessors will conduct an inspection of the area(s) where remediation occurred (before repairs are made). After the inspection has been completed a detailed written clearance report will be provided. Should the clearance inspection result be "failed" a detailed written Statement of Findings will be provided with further recommendations.

Mold Testing:

In most cases this service isn't necessary during the course of an inspection. When health related issues are of concern, mold testing could be recommended.

Asbestos Inspection/Sampling:

NYS Code Rule 56 states that before any building materials known to contain asbestos can be removed they must first be tested for asbestos. This includes total demolition, materials affected by mold, water, fire or soot damage and even your average everyday renovations.
